rule of thirds and frame shots
This is a frame shot which consists of a person being in between two objects creating the image of a natural frame. this particular shot was taken in college on the staircase, All of the photos where taken on a cannon HD DSLR camera.
This is another frame shot, I used a chain link of a swing in a park to create a frame around the eye of the person which i was taking the shots of. the main focus of this frame shot is the eye.
This frame shot is focused on the actual frame and nothing else in particular, i particularly like this shot because of the sharpness of the gate poles i used.
This frame shot was another shot taken through the eye of a swings chain link. it is out of focus but i feel works well with the frame and the shot.
This is a rule of thirds shot, the rule of thirds means that the shot is focused on the object which is positioned on either the right or the left hand side of the shot like this photo.
This is a frame shot where the fingers are the frame and the shot is focused on the followers which are hanging from the lamp post.
Frame Shot; using two different objects as a frame, the parks gate and the signs posts.
For this frame shot I put my focus in between two telephone boxes which i feel made a very nice frame.
This is also another frame shot which was taken thought a park gate but this particular part of the gate had a very nice design which works very well as a frame.
This is a rule of thirds shot but this shot is concentrating on the tree positioned on the left hand side of the photograph.
Another rule of third shot which i took was of this pattern which was drawn into the pavement when the concrete was still wet, i feel it made an effective third rule shot.

Capturing water drops
These photos where captured whilst a drip of water was falling from the air, in order to capture these shots I used a DSLR cannon HD camera i set the shutter speed to 1/250 which enabled the camera to capture the moment which the drop of water hit the puddle. i also used spot lights to make the image clearer.

Orb Paintings
The technique i used in order to achieve these orb painting pictures; firstly i set the DSLR camera to AS, auto focus the i set my iso to 100 and then i set my shutter speed to 20 seconds, these where the settings i used on my camera to capture these orb like images. to create the orb i had to have all lights turned of in the room and also i used two pieces of strings and on the end of each piece of string i had a small torch which i had to switch on before the picture then when i was finished i had to either catch the small torch in my hand or switch them off. i done the same process to achieve two orbs in one picture but i had to use a partner to repeat the process next to me. To make the light in the shape of an orb i had to spin the string with the torch on continuously whilst i had to make a 360 degree turn.
